CLUBHOUSE RULES

Cigarette, e-cigarette and cigar smoking is prohibited in any building, on the porch, or where food is being served. 

Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children. Children under age 10 cannot be served or remain in the Clubhouse or on the porch unless accompanied by an adult.

During the Junior Club season, Juniors are not allowed in the Clubhouse without supervision.

Anyone under the age of 18 is not allowed in the Bar, and under 21 to consume alcoholic beverages on the premises.

Pets are not allowed in the Clubhouse, on the porch or where food is being served or prepared. All dogs on Club property must be leashed, be sure to curb your dog.

Service animals are permitted in the Clubhouse provided proper documents are displayed. Management should be notified in advance to ensure appropriate accommodations can be met (comfort animals are not recognized as Service animals).

Cell phone use is restricted to the parking areas and private rooms. 

Portable electronic devices should be utilized in a way which will not cause others to be subjected to unwelcome sounds, noises or images. They are permitted for reading, as long as they are not used for other communication purposes. 

Photographs or recordings in the Clubhouse that may be used on Social Media are not permitted, unless allowed by a Commodore or House Committee Chair. Images of the Club should never be used for commercial purposes. It is understandable that many family events and their associated memories occur at the Club. These occasions, while displaying proper decorum, may be “shared”, if all parties approve. Please do not indicate the images as coming from SCYC.

Shirts and shoes must be worn in the Clubhouse and on the porch. Bathing attire is prohibited in the Clubhouse, on the porch and on the Linburn Terrace.

Gentlemen are requested to remove their hats in the Clubhouse.

Denim (blue jeans) is not permitted in the Clubhouse, unless otherwise noted. White jeans are permissible.

Members are responsible for informing their guests of the dress code and club policies.
 
PARKING
Members and guests must observe all posted traffic signs and parking restrictions. 

The speed limit on Club property is 10 mph. 

Parking in the vicinity of the Service Dock is reserved for members only, except for spaces specifically designated for hanicap parking.

Guest parking is generally restricted to designated areas near the entrance and on the upper lawn.

The entrance to the parking area on the upper lawn shall be via the entrance road only.
