Mother’s Day Lunch – May 8

Unfortunately we cannot provide lunch May 8, as the Main Clubhouse will be full due to Mother’s Day.  

We wanted to offer an option for our guest families and we partnered with an excellent local restaurant (IT BAGEL) that can provide lunch that day.

Orders HAVE TO BE PLACED IN ADVANCE and picked up at the Junior Club that day, and eaten at the Regatta Tent.

We will also have an outside bar, near the Regatta Tent on that day.

Orders are encouraged by May 5.

What's the weather like in Oyster Bay, NY in May?

The climate in Oyster Bay during May can be summarized as mild and damp. May is typically the 5th warmest month of the year. Daytime maximum temperatures average around 70 F (21 C), whilst at night 48 F (9 C) is normal.

The water temperature average is 55 F, so even if we get some sunny and warm days, PLEASE be mindful that the water will still be cold. Sailors normally still wear drysuits, although that can change from year to year.

Oyster Sloop CHRISTEEN is the flagship vessel of The WaterFront Center in Oyster Bay, NY and a proud supporter of the 2022 USODA Team Trials Regatta, hosted by the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club.  Please come aboard CHRISTEEN, built in 1883 and restored in 1999, to view the sailing action in Oyster Bay/Cold Spring Harbor. For $60 per person CHRISTEEN will depart Seawanhaka at 11:00 AM each day May 5-8 and return no later than 3:30 PM. Maximum capacity is 24 passengers.
